Old Testament stories in Volume 1
Volume 1 opens the two-volume, 50-story Bible Storybook collection. Its stories are drawn from Genesis through Numbers, including the story of the Garden of Eden from Genesis 2–3.
How the stories are told
Each story pairs tender, honest narration with hand-drawn illustrations by Maddie Baker. The Sabeys write the people of the Old Testament as real, complicated humans, so a single reading gives children a story and gives parents something to talk about.

Start with Volume 1 to read the Old Testament in order. Volume 2 continues the same collection from Numbers through Malachi, so the two books together cover the whole Old Testament in 50 stories.
